Summary

The timing of umbilical cord clamping and other cord management strategies may improve outcomes at preterm birth. The iCOMP research study is a prospective meta-analysis of data from studies evaluating cord clamping strategies. It is being led by researchers at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre at the University of Sydney, Australia. (this is the link to their web page: https://www.ctc.usyd.edu.au/). Data collected in the Cord Pilot trial (give link back to the relevant page), along with many other studies, is contributing to this project. Data has been analysed and is currently pending being published.
